-DAT was CY
's oldest A-320...and had the -A1 engines. There is a very limited market for 320s with -A1 engines (everyone strongly prefers the -A5 for both maintenance and performance reasons). Perhaps it was also due for a heavy check?
I will say that CY
always kept their birds in pretty good shape...
Makes me wonder what will happen to -DAU/V/W and -DBA/B/C/D. Maybe they will pick up the newer aircraft from going out of business subsidiary Hellas Jet and retire more of these -A1 examples?
