Air One Of India To Fly ERJs

Wed Apr 13, 2005 6:52 am

Brazilian media is reporting that Air One, a recently created airline based in Bangalore, will be flying Ex-Swiss ERJ-145s. They will be the first carrier to operate Embraer aircraft in India.

Article states that they will be flying between secondary cities and major airports, and that the ERJ provided them with good economics from flights between 30 minutes up to 3 hours.

Any info from our Indian friends on that possible order for the E-series?

Cheers,

How is the market for used Embraer 145's? Does anyone know how it compares with that of the CRJ's? I'm looking for information on ease of selling a used RJ (as in this case) and how are the resale prices doing on both RJ families?

Good for them! India and China are the only two markets I see that need more 50 seat RJ's! Ok, not to be the grinch, but I'm bearish on 50 seat RJ's in the USA and to a lesser extent Europe... But for India, there is growth ahead!

Theres also a report somewhere of the IAF going in for Emb 145 for their VVIP Squadron.

Another operator Paramount Aviation is rumoured to pick up Embraer too,but not sure which type.
