Canadian To Indian Pilot License Conversion

Wed Apr 13, 2005 2:17 pm

Hello,

I have a question, since there are a lot of aviation guru's from around the world. I was wondering if anyone knows what the process is of converting from Canadian to Indian pilot licenses. Do I have to redo all the exams? I heard it is quite the lengthy process but I am interested in working there knowing that there is a great aviation boom in India. Did anyone go through a similar experience? I checked the DGCA website, I emailed them and they never replied.

DGCA may not reply but the information you require is there in the website under LICENSING.

Here is the link

http://www.dgca.nic.in/licencing/lic-rule-ind.htm

I am not a pilot, hence cannot answer specfic questions. But there was some discussionm on this topic (conversion of licences) in another website (www.pprune.org) . Do a search and you will find it somewhere.
