It was on Tuesday, Apr. 12th. UA Flight 1475 IAD-LAS, diverted to DIA. Two male pax in a 'domestic' dispute and apparently had been drinking. Interfered with Flight crew, and assult of a f/a. The f/a had to be treated by EMT's, but nothing too serious. Both guys escorted from the a/c, and one guy could get a huge fine and a long (20 yr.) prison sentance. So what else is new?

Greyhound - maybe you should take blogging lessons! Just kidding.

This is the first I heard of the story, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. I wonder what the couple was fighting about? It was supposed to be an "anniversary" trip...One of the f/a's was pregnant!!  Wow!

yes...one of the FA was pregnant...what a TOTAL BONEHEAD that guy is!!..he should be jailed and have the key thrown away...

"DENVER (AP) -- A United Airlines passenger was charged with assault and interfering with a flight crew after allegedly shoving a pregnant flight attendant and fighting with his traveling companion."
"At one point, a third attendant blocked the path to the cockpit with a beverage cart and enlisted the help of two other passengers to keep Carter from trying to enter the cockpit, the affidavit said."

I had a pregnant flight attendant on a UA 777 ORD-DEN in late Nov, but it was probably a different woman.

I can't understand why people make the conscious decision to get drunk before flying. I don't buy that "fear of flying" excuse. All they have to do is go to the doctor and get a prescription for a few Xanax or Ativan. My girlfriend simply pops a Xanax 0.25 mg tablet about 15 minutes before departure.

Are people too stupid to realize there are alternatives to getting smashed?

I used to be a nasty, mean drunk. But I would never, ever consider trashing an airplane knowing full well the consequences. Especially over a disagreement between two friends. Geez! Go to a pub afterward and talk it out.
