GB Airways MAN Winter Programme Revised

Fri Apr 15, 2005 7:49 am

and I can confirm that a 2nd A320 is to be based (presumably from 30th October). The newly-revised schedule shows daily flights to both Tenerife and Malaga, 5 flights a week to Malta, 2 flights a week to both Funchal and Paphos. There's still a bit of leeway to gain maximum use out of the 2nd A320 as the "morning" services shows daily to Malaga and 2 weekly to Funchal.

Now that's great news.

But I'm still waiting for a mainline BA service to MLA  grin

Each aircraft needs to fly to 2 destinations per day for reasonable utilisation, perhaps ALC or VLC are likely for the 2nd aircraft.

Morrocan destinations would be much appreciated. Apart from the odd Agadir charer flight, Manchester hasnt had any connection to Morrocco. Tangier and Casablanca would be nice.

Also daily to TFS but what about twice a week to TFN?

I think a daily afternoon AGP service would be perhaps more succesful than the breakfast one, being more attractive for long weekends.

I would also like GB Airways to go back to their roots and fly a MAN-GIB route and free me from ZBs no frills service. I like Gibraltar and would like to treat myself to Club class when I go on holiday to my favourite place.

Yes, Orion737 a GB Airways to Manchester would be ideal, although it will be hard to beat ZB's prices on that route

Talking of ZB, they are taking a pitch back at BA and GB Airways and setting up MAN-MAD at a fair bit less than BA/IB charge
Lead me not into temptation, I can find my own way there...
