Spotting At CVG

Mon Apr 10, 2000 5:20 pm

Dear all
I will be in Cincinnati at the beginning of May and I wonder whether somebody knows some good spotting points in order to take pictures.
Thanks for your help.

Ive only been to Cincinatti once. I dont know if there is an observation deck but i dont think that its interesting in CVG. You can only see zillions of Delta planes.

Thanks

I visited CVG last September. There is a parking lot for spotters on the eastern side of the airport which is good for viewing. As far as photography is concerned, you would need a telephoto lens (300mm I would suggest), and you would only be able to photograph traffic on one runway (18L?). The early morning would be best. The Delta terminal is very impressive, but photos through the windows might not work too well. As Avion says, the airport is dominated by Delta (and Comair/Delta Connection), but since they have *three* colourschemes now, there would be *some* variety ;-)

Skylinepigeon,
Thanks a lot for the helpful information. I plan to visit CVG at this parking lot once in the morning.
