is anyone familiar with the runway ops at KCAK? is 5/23 used more often than 1/19? are there any nice spotting areas at the airport or the surrounding area?

Chris...yes, Arrivals runway 23 are mostly used. Obviously all depends on winds. Unless planes are arriving on 1, there doesn't seem to be much spotting around. With the airport sits on top of the hill, you really can't get many good angles. Try the Bomber Squadron (maybe fighter squadron) restaurant on the south side, its has a so so view. The food could be better. Try the French Onions soup though.......yummy!
