"Mile High"

Thu Apr 21, 2005 3:40 am

If you're not familiar with the term "mile high club" im not going to explain. But for better or for worse there is really a company that does this.

Check out the sight (nothing pornorgaphic) and tell me what you think.

I think in such a small plane it doesn't really count. Minimum has to be an ATR.  Wink

A little blue pill handed out during pre-flight?

......and the pilot monitors the progress of the passengers?  eyepopping

Yeah, I've seen this on TV too. It all looks a little too clinical for me... after all, surely the thrill is wondering whether you're going to get caught?!

Do you mean the back of a Greyhound Bus in Denver doesn't count?

I'm glad the airport is a "quiet" one!!!

Based on the VFR limitatons, the 25 mile radius of the airport and the duration of the flight time...it sounds to me like some flight school has found a creative way to get their student pilots flight time for their log books...and create a healthy profit margin as well.

Having done it in the business class lav on one of UA's B767-200s, I can't really see what would be appealing about flying just to do this. Where's the spontaneity?

You said it! Then again, some cramped, smelly, noisy lavatory is not quite my idea of a nice place to get intimate either.

This is funny. Although, it looks to be far roomier than the lav on an MD-80.

OMG. Now that is funny. I haven't tried it but it seems half the fun is that you are doing something forbidden. What fun is it if its allowed or encouraged?  Smile

Well, for me that's not really what the mile high club is all about...
-it's not an airliner
-it's not in a 'forbidden' place
-it's not spontaneous

However, it got me a new business Idea.

How do you calculate weight and balance in such a case? Is there a C.G. arm defined in the manuals for this setup?

I think this is a great alternative if you are afraid of getting caught in a lavatory onboard a bigger plane

Shifting load.... mmmh... Too bad... Big grin

BTW, wasn't there a case of an aircraft crashing because the pilot and the copilot were having sex in flight? I remember reading an embarrassed NTSB report about it, don't know if it's true though...

Why not throw in a parabolic flight and make it weightless sex. Thirty seconds should be more than enough...  Smile

Also, I thought some airline just installed extra large lavs in their First or Business class cabins. And I know VS was talking about it for the A380.

All the yadda yadda about safety being priority No.1, yet I don't see any seats with seatbelts for the passengers, so you're basicly taking off and landing laying on your back?! Mmmmh. Wonder if the FAA inspector likes to see that.

Many long-haul widebodies have one extra-large lav in Economy for handicapped passengers. For example UA B777s (3-cabin) have one at door 3 and UA B747s have one at door 5.

Hmm...the 172 (which i fly) is a little triky to get the seat full back and reclined to do...umm...non pilot activites, while mantaining a good comfterble, smooth flight.
