I just looked through my e-ticket confirmation for CLL-DFW-LGA on Friday and unfortunately there is one point I do not completely understand. Since I have never flown on AA before I need some help from AA-experienced US fellows concerning the check-in procedure.
The confirmation says:
"If you have a U.S. DOMESTIC E-TICKET, check in for your flight using Flight Check-In at AA.com between 1 and 24 hours prior to flight time. Use the E-TICKET confirmation/record locator above to select or change your seat and obtain a boarding pass. On day of departure, you will be required to present a government-issued photo-ID at the airport."
1. Do I have to use this form of check-in or can I just go to the airport and do a normal check-in at the counters as I am used to?
2. How can I check my baggage in when printing out my boarding pass at home?
I am sorry if these questions might seem dumb to some of you, but I would really appreciate your help.
Greetings from Aggieland
