Commercial A/c Shot Down At War

Sun Apr 24, 2005 1:55 am

I was looking yesterday into the safety record of the 767.

I was amazed to know that the US Airforce shot down two 767's on the gulf war of the early 90's. Apparently Saddam Flew out of Kuwait two 767's of Kuwait air and the US intercepted the planes and shot them out of the sky.

Well, the website didn't say much, but if anyone can shed some light. Have there been more episodes like that one involving commercial a/c?

They were not shot down. They were bombed when parked on the ground.
