PHX Construction

Mon Apr 25, 2005 5:37 am

For anyone who will be visiting PHX in the next few months, construction is underway between Terminals 3 and 4. The Airport Authority is recommending that you enter and exit the airport from the East if you are using Terminal 4 (primarily HP and WN) and enter and exit from the West if you are using Terminals 2 or 3. The road between T3 and T4 will be restricted to one or two lanes during the construction which runs now through mid August 2005. The construction is to improve the north/south taxiways (S and T) which cross between T3 and T4.

The full information is available at the Sky Harbor website:

The construction is only on taxiway S (which is the older of the two). So far, traffic hasn't been too bad, but it's still early. If you're flying out or picking someone up, you might want to plan on a few minutes delay, especially during the big banks.

And, for those of you in the PHX area, do NOT use Sky Harbor Blvd as a short cut from the East Valley to downtown
