They demand longer runways

Also, If you'll recall, the aircraft came to rest next to a filling station. With the rising cost of fuel, is management ordering pilots to use self-service?

Only jokes all you SW fans!

Actually no accident or incident with a potential loss of life is humerous. Not to mention two careers ruined by this mishap.

I'm sorry EWR 757, but I find it hysterical. I'm not the first and certainly not the last to find humOr in historic events. The flight crew probably deserves a career change after the stunt. I'm sure the proper authorities will/have determine(d) if they are qualified for the job.

From reports I've read they began their descent from 3000 msl two miles late. Their approach angle was 6 degrees on an ILS designed for 3. I do wonder ,however, why runway 8 was active on that night with a wind from 210? Is a 6 knot wind, 130 degrees to the right acceptable? I don't know. Enlighten me.

Oh well, at least they maintained enough control so that NO lives were lost. Sorry if this offends any others, let it roll off your back. Besides, who am I anyway?

Not to take sides, but I do recall seeing in a forum, probably here, people making jokes about the accident, such as one about the car that got crushed under the plane, and as to how the owner was going to explain this to their insurance agent. Since there were no fatalities, it seemed "ok" to joke about it. Granted, no accident is a joke. Oh well, to each their own I guess.

Come on people, don't be so uptight. We can still have fun here, can't we? I thought it was funny, DEN-HNL.
