I'm sorry EWR 757, but I find it hysterical. I'm not the first and certainly not the last to find humOr in historic events. The flight crew probably deserves a career change after the stunt. I'm sure the proper authorities will/have determine(d) if they are qualified for the job.
From reports I've read they began their descent from 3000 msl two miles late. Their approach angle was 6 degrees on an ILS designed for 3. I do wonder ,however, why runway 8 was active on that night with a wind from 210? Is a 6 knot wind, 130 degrees to the right acceptable? I don't know. Enlighten me.
Oh well, at least they maintained enough control so that NO lives were lost. Sorry if this offends any others, let it roll off your back. Besides, who am I anyway?
