A380 Vs 747 Vs AN-225 Size Comparison

Wed Apr 27, 2005 8:58 pm

A while back someone posted an image comparing the size (from above, back and side) of the 747, 380 and Antonov 225. I cannot find it using the search feature. Does anyone happen to have the link at hand?

Thanks,

The An-225 is still, by far, the most impressive large transport aircraft. Makes the A380 look positively compact.

Your colleague must be too proud to look up the stats themselves,  Yeah sure , no offense you should not have to prove anything.  Smile

That said, DO NOT use the second link provided by member TSV, although his intentions might have been innocent, that picture shows an over scaled length & fuselage width. 2.3 meters is closer to an outside engine diameter on 747 rather than the entire length of the engine, that pix makes A380 look MASSISVE when it isn't. I do not want some just-happen-to-know-it-all knocking out an aviation enthusiast. It's embarrasing to the rest of us. Big grin

Wow, that really puts things into perspective...I knew the AN225 was big, but damn!
