Dornier News: Australia, Sri Lanka

A new domestic airline in Sri Lanka called Daya Aviation will start services with three Dornier 228-200 soon.

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority will get four Dornier 328-110 to be configured in a special-mission layout for search & rescue missions starting next year.

Could to see that Dorner are getting orders after all of the big large orders over the last week.

Still in administration AFAIK. Heard that they are in talks with some potential investors, but have no names. Business however is going on as usual, quite opposed to what happend at Fairchild-Dornier, different administrator this time who wants to rescue the company and does not want to split it into different pieces (times are chaning here in Germany as well...)

If they are now fitting out the first D38 with special mission equipment, then the chances that the "north-european" (should be Finland IMO) will order this bird as well are not too bad.
