First A330 In New Eurofly Colours!

Wed May 04, 2005 6:06 am

Eurofly's first A330-200 in new Eurofly colours will be delivered to the Italian airline soon!

This aircraft will be in addition to its 2 A330-200's in basic Alitalia colours and its fleet of 8 A320-200's!

What routes will she fly?

Will the other 2 A330's be painted into Eurofly Colours?

How many other aircraft do Eurofly have on order?

This new 330 will be flying from june 13 to JFK.
Registration will be IEEZJ.
Cabin configuration should be 28 business plus 254 economy.
This one should be the only 330 flying the JFK route, as the 2 other ones ( IEEZA and IEEZB ) have a different cabin layout (12 business + 280 eco).

ZA and ZB will be reconfigured to the same standard and repainted in the new colors after the summer season. Each one will go to Bordeaux for about 6 weeks, where Sogerma will perform the work.

Eurofly still has one 319LR on order. It is almost ready in Hamburg and you can see 2 pictures on airliners.net.
But it will not fly immediately for us. It will be dry leased for at least 8 months to some operator in Saudi Arabia.
It is configured with 48 business seats with the interior designed by a famous italian stylist.
It was planned to operate 6 times a week between MXP and JFK, targeting the high level business pax. Due to the tsunami effect on the company (we had a daily flight to the Maldives planned for the whole winter) and the ensuing cash losses, management decided not to start that rather risky business.

Saw one of their A330s at MLE just about every day (of the 10 I was there) last month.

Wow! I really like the new paint scheme on the 330!!!  Smile

Flysab,

AFAIK you're the only pilot working for an Italian carrier here on a.net, glad to see you're with Eurofly and hope you like them.

Cheers  Smile

Other destinations on Eurofly long haul do vary with the season, but usually we fly to : Maldives, Kenya (Mombasa), tanzania (Zanzibar), Dominican Republic (Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, La Romana), Mexico (Cancun).
In the winter we have Pointe à Pître once a week.
From june we'll start again flights to Miami and Freeport, will be on saturday.
We also perform some flights to Abu Dhabi and Kuwait for the italian Army, and other flights for football teams of Milan.

How is Eurofly related to Alitalia, if they are? I remember there A330's being in a semi-AZ look...
