Pilot Jobs Must Be Hard To Get

Tue May 10, 2005 6:05 am

We have a position for a security admin available at the agency I work at, and I am on the selection committee.

So I just got passed a pile of resumes to review. The first one off the top of the pile has a freaking ATP. Unbelieveable!!

I knew things were bad in the industry, but are they really this bad?

He also has a masters degree in computer science, a CISSP, and work experience in this field, so he's well qualified for the position. But still...

I hope he gets the job...after looking through the rest of the stack, he is clearly the best candidate.
Firings, if well done, are good for employee morale.

Yes they are that bad, especially if you don't have the ability to move around.

Well, considering my dad has 11,000+ hours, and his side job is pest control, yeah, quality pilot jobs are very hard to come by.

Also, a lot of pilots ( myself included) are thinking or planning on leaving the industry.
