YVR Charters - Summer '05

Tue May 10, 2005 8:10 am

I am trying to put together a list of European charter airlines that will be serving YVR this summer.

So far for sure I know that Thomas Cook will be operating there, how about:

LTU
Belair
Condor
My Travel

Any others?

Thanks!

Do you know if MyTravel will be coming back to YYC again this summer like they did last summer?

Your list is complete!

Belair - Zurich
Condor - Frankfurt
LTU - Dusseldorf
Thomas Cook - Gatwick, Manchester
MY Travel - Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow

The other charters to Europe from Vancouver are on Canadian charter airlines (Air Transat and Zoom). Scheduled flights to Europe will be on Air Canada, Lufthansa, KLM, British Airways and Martinair.

Right on, thanks for the info.

After several years of trying, even going back to the JMC days, I finally got some decent shots of G-OJMC this past weekend.

If you're interested you can dowload the full Canadian Affair UK-Canada-UK schedule as a pdf file via this link on their website The document also has seatplans for the aircraft they use.

Quoting Clickhappy (Thread starter):
LTU

I was driving by the other day and there was an A330-200 on approach. As I got on the bridge, I found out that it was already an LTU. But I guess the real season didn't start yet but it flew to YVR the other day (Monday). I wonder if the airport will see KL's A330-200 from the fall too.

Ktachiya,

I've heard that YVR is number two in line to see the KL A330's after I believe IAD. Speaking of KL at YVR, I have yet to see a photo of one of thier 747's here back when they were operating here. Anyone know where I can find one?
