SAA A343 Goes To Jet Airways

Tue May 10, 2005 4:05 pm

Hi all,

Some news that has escaped this forum is that the first SAA A340-300E on lease to Jet Airways, ZS-SXD, flew out from Jo'burg on delivery direct to Delhi on Fri 6 May 2005. The aircraft was apparently in full Jet Airways colours with the ZS registration.

Good news for Jet!

I thought they were gunna be flying long hauls out of BOM?

When is their first A340 flight?

There's photos of the aircraft within this forum!

Rob!

It hasn't escaped the forum, it's been talked about for months now and the picture was recently posted too.

Sammy I think the point that SAA201 was making that up to this point it has been all talk and no action, lots of speculation and conjecture, but now one of the planes has actually been painted and delivered.
After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF...

The aircraft has already been re-registered as VT-JWA.

ZS-SXD = VT-JWA
ZS-SXE = VT-JWB
ZS-SXF = VT-JWC

I see. Still though, if a picture of it was posted then obviously it hasn't escaped this forum, right? People here are obviously keeping track of it.
