Air India's New Flight To YYZ And BHX...

Sat May 14, 2005 8:23 pm

Tomorrow (May 15th) is Air India's first service to BHX and YYZ from DEL and Amristar! It will be operated by Air India's new Ex. UAL 777-222ER's!

Is anyone going to be at YYZ or BHX to catch the A/c?

Has anyone flown on the AI 772, is it much different to AI's 744's?

Read the trip report by B747-437B on the AI 777 in the trip reports forum,
And it will be VT-AIJ that operates the flight not the third one which is yet to be delivered

There will be many spotters out at YYZ to catch this special arrival. From all reports the flight will be early too at approx. 18:30. Big grin
It's been a long time coming for the restart of service to YYZ and I'm especially pleased to see AI back in Toronto. There will be lots of media covering the arrival as this has been a huge story in all the local South Asian media.

Karan69,
Are you 100% sure it will be VT-AIJ?

Cheers,
Kaz

Does anyone have the opportunity to inform us about the loads:

- overall
- ATQ-DEL v.V.

- ATQ-BHX v.V

- BHX-YYZ v.V. (does this distinction help to calculate the amount of 5th freedom? Probably not..)

maybe for the next couple of days incl. the inaugural?

I should say so, because i went spotting today at BOM and saw VT-AIK depart at 1345--which is the timing for the BOM-LHR flight,i aslo took a pic with a lot of difficulty which will be posted shortly so since it will be at LHR today, i think it is safe to assume that VT-AIJ will operate ATQ-BHX-YYZ

They're ex-United 777s.
Same interiors, same IFE, same everything.

Yes, they are brand new.

In Air India parlance.

Where PTV = Personal transport vehicle.

(Qn to AI babu at check in counter: Are there PTVs on board?
Answer: Yes, yes, of course, PTV. All planes are PTVs)
