DL 737-200 "EL-BOOM"

Wed May 18, 2005 8:57 am

Back in the day I remember a DL 737-200 that had a registration of EL-BOOM, I cannot find anything on this plane under that reg. Can anyone please provide some insight how DL obtained and where it is today. I remember this plane with the odd reg # because it had a large backfire on the ramp and it was so fitting.
Thanks Beau

The registration was EI-BOM:

Originally delivered to Air Florida, it was later purchased by GPA. Leased first to Midway Express, and then to Western. Delta acquired it when they took over Western. The aircraft has since gone on to be flown by LAPA and Merpati, and is now stored at Seletar.
