For those who want to know, the old ATCT will start to come down on Monday. Here is a part of the memo from STLAA....

THE FAA WILL START THE DEMOLITION OF THE OLD CONTROL TOWER ON MONDAY, 05/23/05.

THE PROJECT IS SCHEDULED TO BE COMPLETED BY 09/20/05.

A DETAILED SCHEDULE WILL BE DEVELOPED AND WILL BE DISTRIBUTED WHEN RECEIVED.

The taller of the two.

It would infringe on the approach airspace for the new runway. I have a neat aerial photo of the new runway for any that are interested. I just don't know how to link it here. (little help?.........)
