EIS For New Aircraft

Sun May 22, 2005 5:20 pm

Boeing will start production on their 787 in 2006, with the first flight in 2008. They currently have 237 orders and options, and that should certainly increase as more and more airlines come on board.

How many would they build per month? And, if an airline wanted a replacement for what they are currently flying, when would an airline have to order to guarantee delivery on a certain date?

In total, Boeing are producing at a rate of approx 31 aircraft a month, all models. If all orders for the 787 materialize, and an airline were to order today, when could they expect the first delivery to be?

Boeing are saying that the first 2 years of B787 production is basically full now, so after 2010 now unless an airline/s have a refundable deposit for before 2010 and havn't announced an order yet.
