Gulf Air Looking For New Aircraft & Public Listing

Tue May 24, 2005 1:14 pm

Some interesting news from GF with future network & fleet plans as well as the potential for a listing on the stock markets.

James Hogan talks about non-stop flights to Sydney, Australia & the US as well as reducing the fleet to 2 to 3 types of either an all Airbus or Boeing fleet.

This should be another interesting battle between Airbus & Boeing for an order of 40 aircraft.

Airbus will probably offer a combination of the A320, A350 & A340 families whilst Boeing may offer the B737, B777 & B787 families.

A good financial result for GF, James Hogan and his team.

I really admire the effort GF management and employee team have put in the past few years to bring back GF into profit making. WELL DONE!

I do believe that GF will go with Airbus for future equipment requirements as it will be a hassle to transition all its crews from Airbus to Boeing.
