PDX Future Domestic Flights?

Fri May 27, 2005 6:51 am

Now that the Port of Portland has lowered operating fees and rent at PDX , will the airport see more domestic flights within the next five years?

I think what the port did was smart-especially the gate lease arrangements. I think PHL is a near certainty with the US/HP merger and BOS, MCO & BWI. Possibly FLL or MIA & STL. After that, it would seem PDX would have NS service to all of it's major markets. I personally would like to see UA re-establish itself at PDX and increase it's flying to west coast markets.

CO ran a Thanksgiving holiday nonstop CLE-PDX for 4 days, and it was completely full every night. I'd like to see CO run not only CLE-SEA daily year-round (the thing is packed every day), but a start PDX, at least during the summer months and on the holidays, as is done for SEA.
