China Eastern Code-share To MAD

Tue May 31, 2005 7:28 am

China Eastern still lives on at Madrid-Barajas!

China Eastern used to fly PVG-MAD until 2003 (not entirley sure). The last photo of a China Eastern plane at Madrid is November 9, 2003.

I arrived at MAD tonight and was checking the departure board and I noticed that there was a China Eastern flight to PVG, I scrolled down the board and saw the Air Europa flight to PVG. I did the math and put the two flights together.

China Eastern is now code-shareing with Air Europa on the MAD-PVG-MAD flight.
How long had this been planned for?

As a side note...

I was listening to the radio while driving to College today and I heard an Air Europa ad promoting their new flights to PEK and PVG. They said it's the best way to get to China from CCS.
