Continental 777 At Seattle 5/28

Saturday afternoon, sometime before 3 o'clock, I saw a 777 for Continental take off from Sea-Tac and quickly turn to head north, likely bound for Asia. Did anyone else see the same, or happen to know if this was a diversion, or a charter, or which particular aircraft it was? Any information is much appreciated.

Probably a military charter. They come through every now and then.

It was probably a diversion on the IAH-NRT flight. I believe that leaves IAH about noon or so central time.

on Saturday they were taking off to the south? Unusual given the nice weather.

777 from IAH goes out over northern CA, not Seattle no?

The optimum route in no wind would go directly over SEA. With wind, they might divert even further North.

Ikramerica: I think you have it backwards. The NRT-IAH useally arrive off N. America near NorCal. The west bounds go north as soon a possible. I am watching flt #7 as I type and it went directly toward SEA from IAH. The over SE Alaska.
