Airshow On JetBlue Airways?

Wed Jun 01, 2005 11:04 am

I am travelling to New York out of Burbank for the first time with JetBlue Aireways. I have seen the nice leather seats with small monitors on them.

I was wondering, do ALL of the seats have the Airshow feature or can I select its menu if they have it? An Airshow is were you can see the flight information such as Altitiude, Ground Speed, Location etc....Its like an on board GPS thing. And I was just wondering do all of the seats have that feature? Im going to sit in Coach Class. So it beats me....

All seats are the same class for B6, and they all have the map feature.

All seats are the same in jetBlue so you won't feel just in the back.

All tv's have the mapquest channel. They show where it is, altitude, speed, etc.

You should probably get all of the channels since alot of the planes are upgraded.

All seats are not the same. Rows behind the exit rows have 2" of extra pitch.

The seats forward of the engines are generally quieter. So, take your pick. Quieter vs. legroom (or luck out and get exit row seating for best of both worlds). Either way, there is no bad seat in the house.

The map display JetBlue uses is not the best I have ever seen but it is adequate enough. It updates about every 30 seconds or so and doesn't have a lot of detail. I only leave it on the map page when I want to sleep!

I believe the map is also constantly interrupted by advertisements as well, so even on the map channel you'll see a mix of the map itself and some ads...

No, B6 doesn't use the "Airshow" product - they have a more basic one that works using displays from Mapquest. I wish they used Airshow - it's a much better display system than the one B6 uses.

Their seats are exactly the same size seats as you would find on any A320. Just because they're leather (no big deal) doesn't mean they are like first class seats.

Where did Wardialer mention anything about it being like first class?
