Booking X-mas Flights In The US

Thu Jun 02, 2005 1:32 am

Hey,

kind of a amateur question, so sorry if anybody feels annoyed.

I'll be living in FLL for 6 months and I would like to visit my family in the DC/Baltimore area over the Christmas weekend(~DEC22/23-DEC27/28). I checked some fares as of today and even the LCCs (spirit,airtran,flyI,B6) start at about $280. WN is not yet bookable. Currently only bookings through OCT26 are possible. Should I wait for WN's fares? Are there usually any promotional deals coming up? Or is it, like I assume, "cash-weekend" for all airlines?

I'm thankful for any reply.
