ANC/FAI Renovation

Thu Jun 02, 2005 1:37 am

The state of Alaska has announced that they will proceed with renovation on Fairbanks Int'l and Anchorage Int'l ( B/C concourses ),at a cost of $240 million to improve facilities. Alaska Airlines was invited to sit at the table on the planning, I assume mainly for FAI since we operate from a brand new concourse at ANC.

Quoting AS739X (Thread starter):
Anchorage Int'l ( B/C concourses )

Slight correction . . . A/B concourses at ANC. C concourse is your new AS Concourse at ANC  Smile

Wonder exactly what they intend to do in B at ANC? Other than new carpeting, and although the place is 25 years old, it's in great shape . . . A is another story . . .

FAI's older terminal areas are to go away - not sorry to see that happen.

Both will get seismic work - that, my guess, will be the biggest ticket.
