A friend at work told me that his wife's company, ASA/Comair, is taking over Continental Express counter and ramp operations at CRW. Is this happening anywhere else? Currently, COEX has one ERJ135 flight to IAH and 3 Beech1900 flights to CLE. I'm wondering if this is a sign COEX is pulling out of CRW. Local authorities have been trying to push folks to take COEX's flights to IAH in hopes of adding another or service to EWR, but with the downsizing of Dow Chemical here, fewer business people are taking the flights. I've flown the 2 hr 46 min flight to IAH once and it's a great flight with a decent snack, something I never expected. I'd hate to see them leave CRW.

Excuse the ignorance... but EMAS System... explain please?
That's good for CRW to support the IAH flight. I stumbled across that flight while looking at Flytecomm and was shocked that they got one. I wish we at ABE could get one of those IAH flights on an ERJ-XR... or a flight to EWR instead of the bus... those buses are nearly impossible to work as scheduled... and the flights to CLE if you head toward the Plains area are worthless because you still need to go ABE-CLE-IAH-___ in most cases because the CLE "hub" doesn't get you to many of the "spokes."

I can think of a company in the ABE area (I won't mention its name though) that flies at least a dozen people a week between ABE-IAH

Crw has a few companies , with just them sending as many as 10 per day to IAH and vise versa. so a dozen a week wont be enough to convince CO as a reason to start it up.
