I think that you may have a problem - the DE
flight probably requires that you present yourself at the check-in counter 2 hours before departure as most European charter airlines have rather strict rules for longhaul flights....I would certainly check with DE
and try to find out what the latest possible check-in time is and until what time their counters remain open at MCO
. (I have seen some holiday airlines close down their check in counters long before a flight departs, and the staff heads down to the gate to handle boarding.) That is the first issue.
Also, its unlikely that you will be able to check your bags all the way through when you check in for your AA
flight (where are you originating?)....that of course means that you will have to reclaim your baggage (which sometimes can take a while) and once you have your bags, make your way (with your baggage in hand) to the DE
counter......this could waste valuable time. Certainly double-check with AA
, but I really dont think that there are interlining baggage agreements on DE
flights within the US.
is a rather big airport, keep that in mind, although it is rather well designed.
I dont want to be negative, but you have a couple of issues to worry about that will impact your short connection time. I dont know where you are originating on AA1074, but is their an earlier flight? If you miss your DE
flight, you will not have many alternatives. Best of luck and do some research.
