MCO is a pretty nice airport, and well designed. I don't think it will be a problem. The longest wait will be the security line from A side to B side. The trams are quick, and it's pretty well designed, so you won't have to walk far.

@Hush-Kit: Do you have luggage to check ? I´m unsure if you can count on an interline-agreement between AA and DE ... So there is a chance that you have to pick up your checked luggage and make a completely new check-in with DE.

It might be pushing it a little bit. The actual transfer is quite easy, take the monorail from Airside 1 to the main terminal, walk through it to the Condor desk on the other side and check in, and then proceed to the Airside 2/4 checkpoint. Here is where it could be pushing it...Delta has a bank of flights that leaves between 2130 and 2200 for points throughout the Southeast, but it shouldn't be that bad (it's mostly RJs, maybe one or two mainlines to hubs). Still, a delay on the AA flight could be costly.

hmmmm.....Your AA flight only needs to be 30 minutes late and you'd be in trouble for sure.

If you have to re-check bags it really is pushing it.....need to check that.

I'd rather be on the ground wishing I was in the air, than in the air wishing I was on the ground!

I think that you may have a problem - the DE flight probably requires that you present yourself at the check-in counter 2 hours before departure as most European charter airlines have rather strict rules for longhaul flights....I would certainly check with DE and try to find out what the latest possible check-in time is and until what time their counters remain open at MCO. (I have seen some holiday airlines close down their check in counters long before a flight departs, and the staff heads down to the gate to handle boarding.) That is the first issue.

Also, its unlikely that you will be able to check your bags all the way through when you check in for your AA flight (where are you originating?)....that of course means that you will have to reclaim your baggage (which sometimes can take a while) and once you have your bags, make your way (with your baggage in hand) to the DE counter......this could waste valuable time. Certainly double-check with AA or DE, but I really dont think that there are interlining baggage agreements on DE flights within the US.

MCO is a rather big airport, keep that in mind, although it is rather well designed.

I dont want to be negative, but you have a couple of issues to worry about that will impact your short connection time. I dont know where you are originating on AA1074, but is their an earlier flight? If you miss your DE flight, you will not have many alternatives. Best of luck and do some research.

AA1074 does DFW-MCO, of which there are 10 daily flights. I'd recommend trying to stand-by on the 1434, 1508 or 1600 departures...all are 757s, so there is's just a matter of availability.

As for Condor, their website says minimum check-in time for MCO for coach is three hours (two for business). Plus, they use Delta's counters for check-in, and as I mentioned earlier, those will be in use (at MCO, Delta's international counters are the same line as Medallion and First Class flyers, and with Delta having a bank at that time, there will be a good number of Medallions using that line as well), and Delta's counters are at the farthest end from Airside One (not a bad haul, but it's a good five minute walk at a brisk pace).

My advice to you would be swallow the change fee on AA and try and get on an earlier DFW-MCO flight...that way, it's confirmed (you won't have to risk stand-by), and the chance that you miss the DE flight is much less (sure, weather could affect earlier arrivals, but I'd feel a lot safer on the 1434 flight instead of the flight your booked on). Will this cost a little money? Yeah - but I think it's worth the peace of mind - especially with the 3 hour check-in time on their website.
