A satellite terminal?
Apparently, there is a tunnel from the main T2
out to the remote locations for passengers whose planes are on remote, never seen or used it though!
As for TravelCity, well their check in desks used to be in T1, down near where Airtours/MyTravel is, at the far end. When Jet2 came, that changed, and Jet2 now own most of that area.
TravelCity now have a little check-in area between Jet2 and MyTravel, which is hardly sufficient. Last summer, when TravelCity went tech a couple of times, one morning there were two 743 loads queuing to check in there. Its obvious they need a new check in area, but putting it up near the station seems a little wierd, as someone else said, thats the main route to get from T1 to T2
, and people that arrive on trains wouldn't like it at all.
I also found it quite wierd when they put a load of check-in desks in arrivals of T2
. People come in to there, not leave from there - thats why its called arrivals, not departures!!
Anymore progress on them filling in the 'holes' in T2
check-in area? There used to be like balconies, where you could look down into arrivals, but for some unknown reason they started to fill them in?
Anyway, it is good news overall, hopefully it will mean we'll be getting the A380 a few times into MAN
, I could imagine Malaysia would fly it, so would Singapore and maybe even EK
would fly it into MAN
Give it twenty years, and Air Atlanta will probably get one!!
Its annoying that they are moving Staff West car park though
