Malev 90 (BUD-JFK) - Where Is It?

Fri Jun 10, 2005 9:43 am

I'm expecting someone on it and I cannot get status from anywhere - Malev would not pick up the phone, the flight is not listed on the arrivals page on JFK, and most online flight trackers don't seem to have Malev at all.

Wow, that is quite a delay!  crazy

I got it from http://flytecomm.com/cgi-bin/trackflight and typing MAH90 into the flight identifier field.

Quoting Newark777 (Reply 1):
Aircraft Type

did you forget aircraft type? how long is this flight? I only see 737s, CRJs, and Fokker 70s in airliners.net data base ...

It wasn't listed on the page, I didn't omit it myself.

As for the type, I am guessing it would be one of these:

Yes, it should be a 767. Supposedly (this is through a third person on the phone) they went back to London  Confused for technical reasons, which barely makes sense. Oh, well, we'll see tomorrow morning.

Harry, thanks for the flytecomm link!

In the case of diversions, flytecomm tends to get very confused. For example, if it is indeed sitting in London, it may say it is still in Hungary, even if the times are still correct.

Harry, thanks for the flytecomm link!

No problem.  Smile

If Air Jamaica was in better financial shape, they would have been a good addition as an associate member or full member.

HA-LHA landed at LHR last night and night-stopped due technical problems on MAH090. Not sure if it's still in now..

Left LHR just after 4 pm local... don't know which direction it was heading...
Maybe it was fixed and waited for the pax to come in off flights from JFK then switch to the 767 and then carry on to BUD.

According to www.airfleets.net, they don't fly their two 763's anymore, one now with LAN, and the other now with Kenya Airways.

According to JP 2005, Malev operates 2 767s:

HA-LHA 27G(ER) 27048
HA-LHB 27G(ER) 27049
