757 Low And Loud At 20.50 Out Of MAN?

Sat Jun 11, 2005 4:55 am

Hi people.Literally just had a 757, long and thin so im thinking a 300 series fly really low on departure out of MAN heading south over Stoke on Trent. Seemed much lower and slower than usual. made out a blue tail. TCX? If so, anyone know where she was off to?

Flew over me at 20.50 so id say it took off at 20.45, im sure it would take no more than 5 mins to fly out over Knutsford then on down over Congleton towards Stafford.

Well I saw the TCX 753 depart MAN at that time - didn't look particularly low though.

I live at the top of Ash Bank Airbus A346! Werrington. Can see right out over Hanley and over to Bosley Cloud near Macc. Used to be great before the second runway was built, had virtually all southbound traffic off runway 24 over my house. Used to love the sight of the BA2128 taking off to Gatwick from Islamabad and the Caledonian Tristars so low you could see the lion clearly.Ahh, happy days. We still get the UPS 767 over us most nights inbound to EMA. Used to be the DC-8.

Good to know where it was going! Must have been full, and it was quite warm then so no wonder it was flying low.
