Continental 757 W/winglets Appearences In The UK

Sat Jun 11, 2005 10:34 pm

Hey,

I was wondering if someone could keep an update of when wingleted 757's will be making appearences in the UK (LGW,MAN,BHX etc).

Firstly, I wanted to know if they're due to appear at LGW within the next few days as I have them off and would love to see it!

Cheers,

Sam biggrin

Oh don't do that Sam. They just spent thousands developing the winglets, don't shoot them off!

TIMC

The original flight - CO20/21 is operated by a 767 - and the new service - CO100/101 is scheduled as a 757. It WAS to have been a double daily 757, but the freight restrictions with only 757's was too higher and so the 767 is there to offer the larger belly cargo capacity.

So what did the Winglet's change in the 757s performance? What's the range now?
Please excuse my English!

If they had more 777s available, it would be a 777 flight. It was for a month or so, but they had to put a 777 out to china starting next week, so no more T7 to Man for a while.

Interesting. CO needs aircraft but won't buy any. Instead they're juggling their existing fleet to meet demand.

Fine, no 777s are available, but what about more 767s?

TIMC,

MAN got the winglets Saturday, but that's not a city that will get the winglets all the time. HAM has had winglets on all 3 flights so far (ship 106). Generally speaking, TXL, ARN and OSL along with HAM are the 4 more critical 757 flights stage length wise we fly and thus these cities will see their fair share of wingletted wonders...
