AF's Germany Flights Now In CDG Terminal 2F?

Sun Jun 12, 2005 12:56 am

Hi all,

I just checked Amadeus and saw that AF's Germany flights arrive and depart in Terminal 2F now:

Air France AF 1307
Dusseldorf (DUS), Dusseldorf, Germany 10:55
Charles De Gaulle (CDG), Paris, France Terminal 2F 12:10

Air France AF 1006
Charles De Gaulle (CDG), Paris, FranceTerminal 2F 20:35
Dusseldorf (DUS), Dusseldorf, Germany 21:50

Is this correct? When did the terminal change from 2D to 2F? In my booking confirmation is still 2D listed as arrival and departure terminal.

That looks like it is just the Dusseldorf flight that is in 2F.

You are right, I just checked flights to/from HAM, FRA, MUC, and TXL and they arrive and depart in 2D. Only the DUS flight is to/from 2F, very strange.

Flights to DUS are leaving from CDG2F because they generate a lot of PAX in transit at CDG.
All the flights to Germany will be progressively transfered from 2D to 2F.

Note also that there is a Terminal rule for the Departing flights from CDG, but no Arrival rule.
When an AF flight arrives at CDG2, the Parking stand/Terminal is assigned according to the next destination of the plane.

If you are arriving from TXL on board a plane that will go to NCE for its next trip, your plane will be parked at CDG2F1, and you will disembark in Terminal 2F1.
If your plane is parked on a remote parking stand, then the bus will take you to 2D.
That's also the reason why sometimes, your plane is parked at the Terminal, but you will disembark...with a bus. Example :
You arrive from LHR. Your plane is going to NCE. You are parked at CDG2F1 but as LHR is not a Schengen destination, you have to go thru immigration check... and there is no immigration check at CDG2F1, so you will be taken by bus at CDG2F2 or CDG2D ... Sad

FlySSC,

Thanks for the information, good to know that the Amadeus data is correct! Terminal 2F is much better than 2D in my opinion, I am glad that it changed.

Wow, now I remember why I dislike connecting at CDG  Also, when did HAM flights started to depart from D again? I remember having departed to HAM out of 2F1 from 2002 to 2003.
