Great Article About CO's New EWR-PEK Flights

Mon Jun 13, 2005 12:25 pm

The Star-Ledger had a really fascinating article about all of the behind-the-scenes preparations that have been taking place for the last few months to get ready for CO's new EWR-PEK flights. I'm sure that many of you would enjoy reading it.

I learned a lot of interesting things from it. Polar suits? I never knew they existed.

Very interesting article.

I noticed that it mentions polar suits being carried on the aircraft in case of an emergency. A few years ago I took the EWR-HKG flight which also goes over the north pole, but I'm almost positive that there was no mention of any polar suits during the safety video. Where in the aircraft do they keep them (I'm assuming the HKG fkight has then too)?

The polar suits are for flight deck crew use only, thus there would be no mention of them to the passengers in the preflight safety video.
A little bit louder now, a lil bit louder now...
