TWA's 747s

When did TWA retire their 747s? What aircrafts replace the routes the 747s flew?

757-200, 767-200 and 767-300 the airline retired the last one in late 1997 or early 1998.

They were retired soon after the Flight 800 accident in July 1996 and replaced with the 767-200ER & 300ER aircraft for international routes.

twa retired their 747's and L1011's in 1997. they were replaced by a couple of 767's and several 757's. twa flew narrow guage service to lisbon and madrid during low season on the international 757's.

twa was loosing a lot of money operating those aircraft. twa doesn't have the market presence to fill up 747's to europe anymore.
