Currently Boeing is poised to have their best sales year ever. If (big IF) they close all their currently announced orders by December, they need about a 120 orders to surpass their all-time record. Given that there are a number of big potential orders in the queue (QF, SQ, NZ taking options) plus a raft of 777LRF orders, and the potential for 747-adv orders, it looks like there is a stong likelyhood of Boeing pulling this off.
So what were the biggest causes of this enormous turnabout from last year?
- Sales staff changes? (If that's the case Boeing investors should hunt down and hang the old sales team)
- The 787?
- The weak dollar?
Please keep in mind this is about Boeing. The changes they have made and what is the root of their success this year. Other manufacturers are not relevant to this discussion.
