AS Reaches Agreement With Its Technicians

Fri Jun 17, 2005 7:37 am

Here is the story from SeattleTimes.com:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...nology/2002338308_webalaska16.html

And I thought that AS laid off 900+ mechanics system wide?! Actually, which technicians were laid off last year? The article says it reached an agreement with its 700 technicians? The numbers dont make any sense in terms of how many technicians it has... what gives?!

Don't look to the Times for the most accurate reporting.

Oh I know. I wonder of the SeattleTimes folks forgot that AS laid off 900+ mechanics systemwide last year. And yet some of those writers have a bachelors degree in journalism?! Some of those folks really do need to go back to journalism school....
