Is this for the main test aircraft WD/1 or the one from the Paris show, WD/2 with the interior installed, or both?

I'm pretty sure its the aircraft at the Paris Airshow, the aircraft is leaving Le Bourget strait for Asia!

Any reason for not touring Europe? Europe at this moment is one of the few countries in the world with enough money to buy the 'thing'.

Europe is blessed with great geographical location: right in the middle of everything and a destination in its own right. However countries of Asia and the Pacific can use or do need the capabilities of this aircraft.

Interesting to see that the single longest stay is in London.

I would have thought it would pass through Dubai cause they are doing a massive radio campaign for the B 772LR on the Dubai Radio Networks... now I am sad!!!

It is visiting Australia, India, Singapore and Taiwan, etc, but not Japan? That seems odd. Either they have written off the country, or they know that JAL/ANA will order eventually! Otherwise, strange to me if you don't take care of your best customers.

This airplane is like the 747SP. Although JAL and ANA have historically been huge 747 customers, they never bought an SP. They simply had no need.

EK156,

That is an interesting point. Maybe they decided to stick with the A345 and told Boeing honestly.

Hi EK156,

I heard a RUMOUR that the B772LR will arrive in Abu Dhabi on 22 June from DXB, and depart 23 June to Doha...

I can't say the accuracy of this info as it was just mentioned to me in passing...

Cheers

Hmmm, TSA, I'm surprised to see a B772LR lands at TSA since Taipei SungShan is now only a domestic airport handling I guess the biggest B767 which they used to have when TSA was still an international airport and A321 by Transasia. is the runway long enough for B772LR to take off? Taipei CKS /TPE to to Taipei SungShan /TSA, must be a FUN leg!

When will EVA get its B777s? All LRs?

Regards,

Wolfy

Don't worry Theredbaron! The Dreamliner will be here at MEX next week before touring Middle East/Asia. But I'm not sure if it's going south. Perhaps only Chile for LA and Colombia (now that they have a rich owner) other than that I don't see B interested in Brazil (considering JJ going A and RG having hard times) or Argentina with no fleet renewal plans at the moment.

I would have thought the reason for that was obvious. There are at least two potential 777 buyers I could point to, possibly even 3, in Britain. All three would want to keep themself appraised of Boeing's offering, even if not on a ready-to-buy basis.

The engineering side of it is also of interest due to commonality with the 773ER.

I'm told BD are going to be having a look at it too as they are contemplating new fleet orders and are by no means wedded to Airbus if there is a better deal on offer.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find my own way there...

A SEA based Boeing 777 engineer has said that KHI is too confirmed to be on the touring list...esp since PIA is the launch customer and will receive the first aircraft in Jan 06.

making assumptions from an incomplete schedule that is likely set by appointments and testing as much as geography, and then claiming it as a slam on your region is pretty immature.

It isn't even scheduled to go to LHR, EGKK is Gatwick in ICAO speak. Too bad it isn't LHR though, I am doing work experience there the week the 772LR is scheduled to visit LGW.

OOPS  blush  I thought EGKK was heathrow. I am still suprised it is not coming to heathrow considering it is the UK's busiest airport....and bigger than gatwick.
