My Trip To BNA And BHM

Sun Apr 23, 2000 2:21 am

........why do all these type threads start with "My trip to..."?.....

Anyway, I was in Nashville earlier in the week, and had a chance to do some looking around at BNA. (Notice, all you in the northeast can probably ignore this, because you see this stuff every day, but for those of us in the south, it's news). The viewing spot reports at BNA were correct, I did find the "official" viewing spot on the west side of the field, but it was a good distance from everything except runway 20R/02L. Fortunately, an old friend who works at BNA took me out on the ramp, so there was more to see. In attendance were: TWA Boeing 717-231 N401TW; Air Canada CRJ C-FVKM; Continental Express EMB N17507, among others.

Stopped at Birmingham on the way back (BTW, the top of the parking garage is an excellent viewing area), and observed 2 USAirways Express aircraft: Dornier 328 N437JS; and CRJ N37342.
