Weekday Spotting At LHR

Fri Jun 24, 2005 3:51 am

Hi all,
I couldn't find anything about this in the search facility, only what to see at LHR which I already know !
I've been spotting at LHR many times at weekends where they have that special stand in the pay and display car park. I have heard though that this stand is not in use during weekdays. Is this true ?
As I have pretty much always gone here to spot (and that petrol station that has now closed down) my question is , is there a place where I can park up and go to spot for a good couple of hours ? and do you have to pay ?

Many thanks for help

Hi there,

Myself and Michael Catchpole have compiled a photo guide for Heathrow (and its surrounding airports, when we get round to doing them!)

Hope this helps,

I'm actually going up to LHR this weekend (yes, just as the weather changes!) and I'm just wondering what runways are in use this week. Down here in Jersey, it's the easterly, but I'm hoping for the 27s at LHR!

What's been the runway usage this week?

Thanks Simon ... looks like 27R in the afternoons/evenings, which suits me fine ... as long as they're using the 27s!
