AV/Sam Becoming Delta Part 2 Livery Wise.

Mon Jun 27, 2005 10:49 am

AV has 4 different schemes in their 36-strong fleet right now (im not counting the 85 años special colours).

The first one, as seen above, is the summa livery with a decal that says Alianza Summa near the door. This stickers were supposed to be removed, but some 757s and SAM´s F-50 and MD-83s still have it.

This is the summa livery but with the decal properly removed from the door, right now, some 757s, the 767-200ERs, all but one of the AV F-50s and the AV MD-83s sport this look.

The new colors, presented in February, are being worn by one of the 757s and one of the 767-300ERs.

There is still one F-50 flying around in this colours, as it was stored when Summa was created and taken into the fleet last year.

I just thought it was funny, since the same thing is happening to DL. There have been so many changes that now they have 4 schemes through the fleet too. Though it looks very disorganized, i think its kinda exotic jaja.

There is also an MD-83 registry N36RA with the new red and white livery already painted it will start flying after a maintenance D check sometime next week.

The programming of the painting of the rest of the fleet in red and white including the 85 years 767-3YO registry N948AV is scheduled to start in September and should take approximately 2 years to complete the whole fleet.

We all know some will be kept but most will be replaced by F100s starting in 2006.

That is one of the new MD-83 coming to the fleet. Since it isnt an official member yet, i did not count it (it would be the 37th aircaft right?). But thanks for the info I will fly to LIM this Saturday and Im willing to see it.

Basically only 2 of the 10 Fokker 50's will remain in the fleet, the rest will be replaced by the 10 Fokker 100's, and that process is going to start in late November of this year; up to the point where new crews are going through the selection process for near future hiring.

N836RA is located at the back end of Hangar 1 at maintenance at SKBO at the moment.
