Does SQ/TG Allow Premium Y Upgrades For Non-rev?

Tue Jun 28, 2005 12:04 am

I was curious if non-revs with Y class ZED tickets on SQ/TG would allow
you to get into premium economy if Y class fills up on the nonstop BKK/SIN
routes from US?

its just that the standard economy capacity is so small on TG and or even
no standard economy config at all on SQ

I don't know the answer for Thai, but I would imagine that SQ would send non-revs in coach in a one-stop route.
Next flights: MEX-LAX AM 738, LAX-PVG DL 77L, SHA-PEK CA 789, PEK-PVG CA A332, PVG-ORD MU 77W, ORD-MEX AM 738

On SQ, the SIN-LAX/SIN-EWR flights, there is no Y class. It's all enhanced J or enhanced Y. So if it's full, I can guarantee you there is no possibility or any upgrade.

If you want to try to get on the SQ non-stops, the best days from SIN are Tue/Wed. From LAX/EWR avoid Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon. Thursday is somewhat iffy.

actually I want TG, but I was just curious if Enhanced Y counts as Y on a non-rev ticket, otherwise I have to do the normal Y class?
