Sri Lankan Airlines

Can someone tell me more about Sri Lankan Airlines. What is their current fleet size? What destinations do they serve? How much in % does Emirates own of them?

Hi Avion,
Approx. 40%, with management control; the recent aicraft livery changes/elimination of First Class/introduction of A330's/Catering revamp at Bandaranaike Airport/accelerated disposal of TriStar's/axing of certain unprofitable regional routes/introduction of Stockholm and other routes/improved on-time performances/fitting of identical A330 IFE's to EK's A330's/complete change of in-flight service and uniforms, are all actions influenced by the Emirates management.

Their ultimate fleet by 2002 will be around 10 A330s, 4 A340s and possibly 2 A320s which will remain in service. New destinations coming on line this year are Dhaka, Milan and Berlin, and services to Johannesburg and Madrid are under consideration.
