GREENSBORO The front end of a plane parked at the gate with 34 passengers aboard collapsed shortly before noon Tuesday at Piedmont Triad International Airport.
No one was seriously injured, though one passenger was taken to Wesley Long Hospital with scrapes and bruises.
Ted Johnson, executive director of the Airport Authority, said the nose gear of the plane collapsed, causing the nose to crash to the ground, but a cause for the malfunction is unknown.
The plane, an Independence Air Bombardier jet, had 33 passengers on board and three crew members.
