AC Lodges Complaint Against Pilots

Wed Jun 29, 2005 1:06 pm

Hi just open my commercial aviation today and there was an article about AC filing a complaint with the labor board about a group of disgruntled pilots and a re vote on the boeing order.

http://www.commercialaviationtoday.c...ves/2005/3-3114-cat-28-June-05.htm

So do you think that the Boeings will be back on order by the end of the year. So hopefully the 777s will arrive as initially scheduled.

Finally AC are showing the pilots who is in charge and that the pilots can't dictate what aircraft joins the fleet.

This has only to do with new types entering the fleet. The present contract with the union covers only existing types. AC could have purchased Antonov or used Fokker's or whatever; the contract needs to be renegotiated to cover them.
