Looks very good to me too... except the HUGE "777-300ER" which comes like a hair in the soup (french saying  Wink ).

It's even almost bigger than the "A380" writing on the Space Ship.

Cheers!

Tacky livery modification. No match compared to the 744, but that was no surprise to me.

Trust me guys, you might not think it looks good in photo. But trust me.. I was climbing around this VERY aircraft on Friday, June 17th while it was still inside the hangar in Everett. And let me tell you, it was SHINY, BEAUTIFUL and brand new. It looked absolutely amazing all polished up like that. Standing next to those GE-90s, crawling around in the cargo bay, sitting in the cockpit, watching the final mod work going on in first class... trust me, it was every geek's dream come true. I even called WindowSeat, ConcordeBoy, and DL021 to brag about it while I was there, and those SoB's didn't even have the courtesy to answer their phones!  Sad lol.

Just wait til you guys see it in person.. the 777-300ER and the swoosh are much-needed additions to the tacky EVA livery. This is the first time I've ever liked their livery to tell you the truth...

Well, I was otherwise engaged at the moment.....at the Salon d'Air in Paris.

You need to arrange for a group visit to the 777 line for our next tour.

It's too bad other 773 operators (other than NH) have not adopted the swooshes on their 773s (AF, JL, KE to name a few).

Will this sceme stay throughout the 77W fleet, or will it just be on their first 77W?

How many did Eva air order?

This livery is just plain disgusting!! YUCK!!

• What's with the 777-300ER as it seems like a sticker just stuck on.

• Puke Green, Sun Orange, White and Forest Green do not go!

• Lines do not work. With the lower fuesalge painted green and then above a wave kinda look one half seems to compete with the other.

Don't think so EVA Air. And this won't last right?

Thanks.

P.S. Thanks for the pictures.

i think this looks decent. At least better than alot of all white color scheme.

Only the 1st 777 will be painted in this color.

The 1st eva 777 will be operating between TPE-HKG, TPE-BKK-EGLL

Can anybody shed some light into the fact why EVA air isn't really using this plane for particularly long range operations (except London). Would it be correct to assume that they will exploit the ERs capabilities in the future though?

Boeing gave EVA great discount so that logo will stay on for a long time (like the ANA wave).

BKK stop over will remain (not because of the range issue). TPE-BKK is money maker.

777 will be also used on HKG route because it makes money. EVA only flight twice weekly into LHR. So nothing new there. And when it is not on the heathrow route, it is flying to other destination, like the 744 currently used on this route.

The 777 will eventually replace all 744, hence when more 777 gets deliverd, it will be put on longer range flight too.

Well, obviously, this new scheme has generated some heavy emotional responses...

Let me add mine...YES, YES, YES...very nice livery! And, I really don't mind the large 777-300ER on the side...

I'm hoping EVA keeps this as it's a definite improvement over their current scheme.

What is the config of BR's 777-300 ER
Is there Premium Laurel class like the A330 series
or is Evergreen deluxe ala the 747.. someone alluded to a first class?

Is it a proper first class? I would hope so- no sense putting an
outdated product in a new plane

I wonder if we will eventually see the 777-300ER here in SEA

Well, you guys better start liking it. In a news report in Taiwan, it claims EVA Air's first 3 B777-300ERs will be painted in this special livery.

Also, there are some details on the cabin. AVOD in all cabins (as expected). However, there will be 8.4" PTVs in Elite Class and Economy Class. The seat pitch is 38" and 33" respectively. The seat width will be 18.5" and 18.3" respectively.

its their first 777 of any type, they will need to use them on shorter routes initially to get their pilots and maintenance people used to them and build up the necessary experience with this particular airframe/engine combination to allow future ETOPs flights

Gotcha! I guess that's the same reason TG and SQ used their 345's on short routes around the region before sending them off onto those 17 hour missions.

ANA has been doing the same thing with their B777-300ERs and finally last month they started flying it on the NRT-JFK route.

I would really like to see an Eva Air B777-300ER without the B777-300ER decals on the sides.
