Delta will begin seasonal, Saturday-only 737-800 service between Atlanta and Bozemon, Montana this winter, the 200th non-stop city Delta serves from Atlanta...

Delta now has non-stop service to Georgia from 46 states - all except Delaware, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Vermont.

Interesting, thanks for pointing this out. 46 out of 50 states is an interesting statistic; flights to Burlington, Wilmington, Sioux Falls, and Bismark is all that is needed to make ATL complete.

Remember back in the late 1980s when UA advertised that is was the only airline to serve all 50 states.......did not last long and Wilmington, DE was one of the first cities to lose service.

Incredible that there aren't any nonstop flights from BTV to Atlanta!

Yup, not quite a record yet. Chicago/O'Hare has non-stops to 49 states and Minneapolis has non-stops to 48 (no service to West Virginia).

NW also serves 49 states, but not from one hub.

DFW is a bit lower on the list only 40 states. No service to:

DE
ID
ME
MT
NH
ND
SD
VT
WV
WY

I guess we had 41 states when DFW-BOI was operating.

200 destinations from ATL and still counting Big grin . Might be only for the winter season, but the same was also said for ATL-JAC.
Now, for the 4 states left:
"Wilmington - The new alternative to congested PHL": Might work, if the advertising is well-organized.
"Now you can fly from UND to ERAU via ATL, with our new nonstop service to GFK": No, can't really see that (nor Fargo or Bismarck)
"From Mickey Mouse to Mount Rushmore - It's now just one stop apart. Delta proudly launches new service from Atlanta to Rapid City": Maybe a saturday-only 738.
"Enjoy beautiful Lake Champlain with DL's new nonstop service from Atlanta to Burlington, VT": Within the range of DL's CRJs, so there is always a chance  Wink .

I am actually very suprised that there is no BTV-ATL, that one is only a matter of time before there 2x CRJ on the route..... though Delta does have to protect their large underused Boston Terminal !!  Big grin

yeah that is realistic unlike the Wilmington talk. Wilmington and Trenton both are no longer considered viable alternate airports to PHL for whatever reason.

NIMBY's.....maybe Trenton and Wilm will see something substantial someday (see http://www.philly.com/mld/philly/news/12010515.htm -need to sign up to read this one, but basically says parking sucks at PHL and most lots are 100% by late week) for overflow.

DL's been pretty slow with BTV unfortunately. It re-started in 2000 when ACA became a Connection carrier, with a few flights to BOS. When Comair went on strike in 2001, DL opened up BTV-CVG, which at the time I believe was the only Connection flight into CVG (since Comair wasn't flying). I am a bit surprised with no ATL-BTV, I think that it could support a pair of CRJs a day, as there is a fair amount of BTV-Florida traffic (in winter especially), and Delta could do quite well with the ATL hub to distribute that traffic. Not to add that it could pull in some ski traffic in the winter...

I would think Fargo would be more likely? Be nice for someone to break the NW stranglehold in the upper Midwest. Besides, Fargo is growing rapidly right now, and the Fargo-Moorhead area definitely is a lot more populous than Burlington.

Any information on how the BOI-ATL service is doing?
